Felixvet Introduces Praziquantel Tablets 23 mg for the Removal of Tapeworm Infections in Cats
Kansas City, Mo. — July 16, 2026 — Felixvet Inc. today announced the commercial availability of Praziquantel Tablets 23 mg, an FDA-approved feline cestocide indicated for the removal of Dipylidium caninum and Taenia taeniaeformis tapeworm infections in cats. Approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on December 22, 2025, under ANADA 200-834, the product expands Felixvet’s growing portfolio of companion animal pharmaceuticals and provides veterinarians with an important treatment option for managing common feline tapeworm infections.

Praziquantel Tablets 23 mg are indicated for the removal of Dipylidium caninum and Taenia taeniaeformis, two of the most commonly encountered tapeworm species affecting cats. The product is sized for easy oral administration and may be administered directly or crumbled and mixed with food.
The product is therapeutically equivalent to the pioneer drug and provides the same safety and efficacy profile. Praziquantel Tablets are available in a single 23 mg strength and feature a palatable beef flavor. Each chewable tablet is scored to support easy and accurate dosing.
Praziquantel Tablets 23 mg are available in:
- 3-count chewable tablet bottles
- 50-count chewable tablet bottles
- 150-count chewable tablet bottles
